Bucket & Trad Weekend - Sun Apr 30Another Sunday arrived and with it even more sun. This year's program didn't seem to have space for bad weather. The last few students left to graduate showed up bright and early as usual. All tasks from previous day were once again performed. As the day went, student after student trickled back to the leaders showing their green books all filled out, proving their newly acquired abilities. A handshake, a smile and a t-shirt later we finally hatched the last of the new batch of AMC climbers. However before leaving for the day, we just had to try a few more climbs in the afternoon sun. |
| Steve, this weekend's leader, is waiting for students. In the mean time, relaxing in the chair, he is thinking how good it would be to put on the rock shoes.. |
| Ready to catch a lead fall, Erin won't budge. Dick seems very satisfied with this year's crop of students. |
| Tim, Bill and Shawna making sure everything is in place, before TJ is thrown down the multi-pitch rappel. |
| On the other side, Brian is already halfway down his rappel with Akiko assisting. |
| Before going out as a second, Jeremy and Hathaway are listening carefully to Mike, as he explains how all his tools and gadgets are used. |
| Meanwhile, Tom and Chris are much more comfortable discussing this on the top edge of the cliff. |
| Will is making sure that no-one is going home without full knowledge of all required knots. TJ, Shawna and Brian doing their best. |
| One of the tasks of a second is to clean up the route as Hathaway finds out. |
| Judy has handed over the green book to Tom after completed all required tasks. Rick however is trying to figure out what Tom should do with it? |
| We have tree huggers and we have rock huggers. Jeremy doesn't want to let go. Seconding for Mike is not always so easy. |
| Before turning in the little green book, all comments and suggestions need to be filled out. The accompanying dog is making sure that Art and Kayla are doing their best. |
| Art has an interesting belaying technique, however that doesn't seem to bother Chris too much. He is well occupied getting up what initially seemed as an insurmountable crack. |
| As the last students have wrapped up and all gear is back, Chris is now taking care of it all until next time. |
